Here's what's new in Loft App v8 — new features, improvements, and fixes, explained in simple terms.


What's New

  • New light control setting — Added a new setting for controlling lights, giving you finer control over how they behave.
  • BLDC fan support everywhere — Added BLDC fan support for groups, rooms, scenes, routines, BLE remotes, sensors, and cloud setups.
  • Wider gateway support — Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and dual Ethernet gateways are now all supported, so you can connect your home the way that suits your setup best.
  • Smarter motion sensors — Motion sensors now support multi-functionality, giving you more flexible automation options.
  • Delay for lighting — Added a delay option for RGB lighting, so changes happen in a smooth sequence instead of all at once.
  • Cloud server details at a glance — You can now view your cloud server information directly within the app, without needing to check elsewhere.
  • App update alerts — You'll now be notified when a new app update is available, so you can download the latest version right away.

  • Improved UI design — Redesigned the two-way lighting group screen with a cleaner UI.
  • Better delete option placement — Moved the delete option for rooms, scenes, groups, etc. to a more convenient location within the app.
  • Improved mode switching for IR devices — Switching between offline and cloud modes for IR remotes is now smoother and more reliable.
  • Realistic remote designs — Redesigned the on-screen remotes for TVs, amplifiers, and projectors to look and feel like actual physical remotes.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where linking an LMC could sometimes fail to sync properly, and improved the success/error messages shown to users.
  • Resolved UI issues caused by changes introduced between Android 15 and Android 16.
  • Fixed a scrolling issue faced on Android 16.
