Device Configuration
This guide provides troubleshooting steps to resolve Device Configuration problems in the Loft App.
If your device fails to configure properly after installation, or configuration gets stuck midway, it may be due to several possible issues. Follow the points below to identify and resolve the problem.
1. Range Issue
Possible Causes:
- The device is too far from your smartphone during the configuration process.
- Weak Bluetooth or Wi-Fi signal between the device and your phone.
- Physical barriers such as thick walls or metallic objects obstructing signal flow.
Solutions:
- Move closer to the device during configuration.
- Ensure there is no obstruction between your phone and the device.
- Avoid configuring the device near metal surfaces or electronic appliances like microwaves that can interfere with signals.
2. Provisioning Address Error
Possible Causes:
- During installation, an internal error occurs due to communication delay.
- The app shows an error like “Provisioning”, “Conflict”, “Address”, etc., issue.
- The device may have retained old pairing data from a previous session.
Solutions:
Restart the configuration process in the Loft App.
If the error persists, remove the device from the app, reset it manually, and try again reinstalling.

3. Bluetooth Connectivity Issue
Possible Causes:
- Bluetooth on your phone is already connected to multiple other devices (e.g., headset, speaker, smartwatch).
- Limited Bluetooth pairing capacity on Android or iOS devices.
- Bluetooth permissions or connection conflicts may interrupt the configuration process.
Solutions:
- Turn off and then turn on Bluetooth before starting configuration.
- Disconnect or unpair unnecessary Bluetooth devices from your phone.
- Restart your phone and reopen the Loft App.
- Make sure Bluetooth permission is enabled for the Loft App in your phone’s settings.

✅ Tip: If configuration repeatedly fails, try clearing the Loft App cache, ensure your internet connection is stable, and verify that both your device firmware and Loft App are updated to the latest version.
