Delete Room
This guide provides troubleshooting steps to resolve Delete Room problems in the Loft App.
1. Room Contains Devices, Scenes, or Groups
Possible Cause:
- The room cannot be deleted because it still contains one or more devices, scenes, or groups.
- The Loft App prevents deletion of rooms that are not empty to protect active configurations and automation control data.
Solutions:
- Open the Loft App → Rooms Section.
- Select the room you want to delete.
- Check if the room contains any devices, scenes, or groups.
- Remove or relocate all devices from the room to another existing room.
- Delete any scenes associated with this room.
- Delete any groups that belong to the room.
- Once the room is completely empty (no devices, scenes, or groups), go to Room Options → Delete Room.
- Tap Delete again when prompted to confirm deletion.
✅ Note:
A room can only be deleted when it is completely empty.
Ensure that no devices, scenes, or groups are linked or present to the room before performing deletion. This helps maintain app stability and prevents accidental data loss.
