Group Control

This guide provides troubleshooting steps to resolve Group Control problems in the Loft App.

1. Group Device Not Operate

Possible Cause:

  • The grouped device(s) may not function after executing a group command due to firmware version mismatch.
  • Older firmware versions can cause performance inconsistency or non-responsiveness in grouped devices.

Solutions:

  • Open the Loft App → Device Settings → Check for Firmware Update.
  • Update the device(s) to the latest available firmware version.
  • Once updated, recheck group operation functionality.

2. Group Not Working or Execution Problem

Possible Cause:

  • The group may fail to execute if:
    • No working devices are currently added to the group.
    • Devices previously added to the group were removed or disconnected.

Solutions:

  • Open the Loft App → Room → Group Section.
  • Verify that all listed devices are active and online.
  • Remove any offline or unavailable devices from the group.
  • Re-add working devices if necessary.
  • Save the updated group and retry the group command.
3. Gateway Issue (Cloud Mode)

Possible Cause:

  • When operating devices through Cloud Mode, group control may fail if:
    • The gateway is added but turned off, or
    • The gateway is on but has no active internet connection.
  • The Loft App relies on the gateway for cloud-based communication and device command execution.

Solutions:

  • Ensure the gateway device is powered ON and connected to a stable internet connection.
  • Restart the gateway if required and retry the group control.
