Master Scene Control

This guide provides troubleshooting steps to resolve Master Scene Control problems in the Loft App.

1. Devices Not Working

Possible Cause:

  • When executing a Master Scene, devices may not operate if they are inactive, out of range, or not properly communicating with the network.
  • Executing a Master Scene from a far distance or in poor signal conditions can result in devices not responding.

Solutions:

  • Ensure all devices linked to the Master Scene are powered on and within network range.
  • Move closer to the devices or gateway for stable communication.
  • Verify that the devices are online and active in the Loft App before executing the Master Scene.
2. Devices Perform Misbehave

Possible Cause:

  • Devices may perform unexpected actions or not respond as configured after running a Master Scene if:
    • Incorrect Scenes are added within the Master Scene.
    • Devices in those scenes have mismatched configurations or are not synchronized.

Solutions:

  • Open the Loft App → Master Scene Section.
  • Check the added scenes within the Master Scene for accuracy.
  • Verify the devices and their operational settings in each linked scene.
  • Correct any mismatched or misconfigured scenes and re-test Master Scene execution.
3. Master Scene Not Working

Possible Cause:

  • The Master Scene may not work if:
    • No active or valid scenes are linked to it.
    • The Master Scene is empty (no scenes added).
    • Linked scenes are deleted or no longer operational.

Solutions:

  • Open the Loft App → Master Scene Section.
  • Verify that at least one working scene is added under the Master Scene.
  • If scenes were deleted or modified, reassign the correct working scenes.
  • Save the configuration and re-execute the Master Scene.
4. Cloud Mode Not Working

Possible Cause:

  • If operating a Master Scene in Cloud Mode, it may not function due to:
    • The room or device being operated not having a configured gateway.
    • The gateway being powered off or inactive.
    • The gateway being online but disconnected from the internet.

Solutions:

  • Ensure the gateway is properly configured in the room containing the devices/scenes used in the Master Scene.
  • Verify the gateway is powered on and connected to the internet.
  • After confirming network stability, re-execute the Master Scene.

Note:
A Master Scene depends on the proper configuration and connectivity of the individual Scenes and Devices linked within it.
Ensure all scenes, devices, and gateway connections are active before executing a Master Scene for optimal performance.
