Delete Scene

This guide provides troubleshooting steps to resolve Delete Scene problems in the Loft App.

1. Devices Still Exist in Scene

Possible Cause:

  • The scene cannot be deleted because one or more devices are still linked or present within it.
  • The Loft App prevents deletion of scenes containing active device configurations to avoid automation or control disruptions.

Solutions:

  • Open the Loft App → Rooms Section.
  • Tap on the room containing the scene you want to delete.
  • Go to the Scene Section and select the desired scene.
  • Check if any devices or actions are still part of that scene.
  • Remove all linked devices and actions from the scene configuration.
  • Once the scene is completely empty (no devices/actions assigned), tap the three dots (⁝) icon beside the scene.
  • Select Delete, and confirm the deletion when prompted.
2. Scene is Assigned Somewhere

Possible Cause:

  • The scene cannot be deleted if it is still assigned to another control or automation module, such as a BLE Remote, Panel, etc.
  • The system restricts scene deletion to prevent conflicts or control loss in assigned modules.

Solutions:

  • Identify where the scene is currently assigned (e.g., in BLE Remote, Panel, or Anywhere else).
  • Open the corresponding module in the Loft App and unassign or remove the scene from that control configuration.
  • After unassigning, return to the Scene Section.
  • Tap the three dots (⁝) icon beside the scene and select Delete to remove it successfully.

Note:
A scene can only be deleted when it contains no devices, actions, or control assignments.
Ensure all linked components are removed or unassigned before attempting deletion to prevent errors.
