Custom Access

This guide explains how to give Custom Access sharing in the Loft App.
This feature allows you to provide customized access of your Loft account spaces to another user.

Steps to Give Custom Access

Once a user scans your Share Access QR Code, the Access Sharing screen will automatically appear on your device.

If you missed it or it doesn’t appear automatically, you can manually give or edit access by following the steps below:

1. Open the Loft App

2. Navigate to the Users Section

   • Go to the Users tab located at the bottom-right corner of the screen.
   • Tap on the right-hand side of the user to whom you want to give custom access.
   • A few options will appear — select Edit Access.

3. Grant Custom Space Access
   • The Access Sharing screen will appear with two tabs:
     1. Space Access
     2. Custom Access
   • Under the Custom Access tab, a Space Selection dropdown will appear. Select the space for which you want to provide access.
   • After selecting a space, you will see two dropdowns — Rooms and Other:

• Rooms: If you want to give access to specific rooms, tap on the ‘+’ (Add) button next to each room you want to include.

• Other: If you want to give access to specific additional devices, tap on the ‘+’ (Add) button next to each device you want to include.

• Once custom access is granted, the selected user will now have controlled access to the specific rooms and devices based on the permissions you’ve set.

Note:
If you assign Other Devices access first and then give Rooms access, the device access will be removed.
To avoid this, always assign Rooms access first, and then provide Other devices access.
